i just had a flashback to busch gardens with my parents, a spanish girl was saying “Excuse me” to get to her family, then she said “gracias” to me. of course i said “de nada” like it was no big deal. then she was in the same tube/cart thing as us during the ride, which was the river rapids or whatever it’s called and she was beside me. ….she tried to talk to me in spanish THE WHOLE TIME. i just smiled and laughed. awkward 4 minutes.. i will never again speak spanish to some stranger. actually, i will, but still.
